Every window and door we install in West Park passes through the hands of people who live here, work here, and understand what a south Florida frame goes through. Our crew isn’t rotated in from another county. They’re the same faces you’ll see at the supply house, at the permit counter, and back at your house when the job’s done. I started Sightline in 2012 because I’d watched too many homeowners get a verbal quote on Tuesday and a bill on Friday that looked nothing like it. Before I ever hung a shingle, I was a project manager for a regional builder, and I spent half my time untangling what subcontractors had promised versus what they’d actually put in writing. That experience became Haven Clause 1: the measurement and the quote are the same document, and the customer keeps both.

I’m still on-site for first measurements and final walkthroughs. Not because I don’t trust my crew - I do, or they wouldn’t be here - but because the photo record at the end of every job needs to match what I saw with my own eyes. I live in Broward County, and my commute home takes me past houses we worked on five, ten years ago. When I see a PGT impact window still sitting square in its frame after a hurricane season, that’s the only marketing I need. I don’t write copy; I write scopes. Everything else is just explaining what we already do.

Marcus T., Lead Technician

Marcus has been with us since 2018, which in this trade means he’s seen the transition from nail-fin installation to flangeless European systems and back again. He’s NAMI-certified for impact product installation and holds manufacturer certifications from PGT, CGI, and Therma-Tru. On a typical week, he’s running two crews across West Park and Hallandale Beach, but he still personally handles every custom or geometric window order because he’s the only one patient enough to triple-check the sightline measurement against the architect’s drawing.

His human detail: Marcus keeps a worn Leatherman on his belt that he’s replaced the blade on eleven times. He’ll tell you the exact count, unprompted, if you ask about the tool. He won’t tell you about the time he caught a framing error in a 2019 Miramar job that would have put a 6-foot slider in a 5-foot-10 rough opening. He considers that normal work, not a story.

Elena V., Senior Installer

Elena came to us from a commercial glazing contractor in Miami-Dade, where she spent six years installing curtain wall on high-rises. She joined Sightline in 2021 because she wanted to see finished jobs instead of moving to the next tower. Her commercial background shows in how she reads a frame: she’ll spot a twisted king stud or an out-of-plumb rough opening before the old window is even out. She’s certified with ES Windows, ECO Window Systems, and Mr-Glass, and she’s our go-to for any job where the customer is keeping historical millwork or matching an existing sightline profile.

Elena lives in West Park, near the intersection of Park Road and Hallandale Beach Boulevard. She bikes to jobs within three miles when the weather holds, which means she sometimes arrives before the truck and has already photographed the exterior conditions. Her detail: she keeps a running list of every house number she’s worked on, in order, in a pocket notebook. She’s on page four.

Darnell J., Service Coordinator

Darnell is the voice most West Park customers hear first, and the person who makes sure Marcus and Elena aren’t driving to Pembroke Pines when they should be in Carver Ranches. He joined us in 2020 after eight years dispatching for an HVAC contractor, and he brought with him a tolerance for the chaos of south Florida traffic and permit schedules that we didn’t know we needed. He handles the live phone coverage, schedules the measured surveys, and tracks every job’s photo record to make sure it uploads before the crew leaves the driveway.

Darnell is also the person who flags when a customer’s quote doesn’t match their survey. He caught a $2,400 discrepancy last year on a triple-hung order in Lake Forest - a transom height that had been eyeballed instead of measured. He stopped the job before material was ordered. His detail: he coaches youth basketball at McTyre Park on Saturday mornings, which means he knows half the homeowners in West Park before they ever call us, and they know him.

Keisha R., Apprentice Installer

Keisha started with us in 2023 through a partnership with a Broward technical college, and she’s the first apprentice we’ve had who asked to learn permitting before she asked to learn installation. She’s now six months into her field training, working alongside Elena on standard replacements while she builds hours toward her NAMI certification. She’s already competent on single-hung and horizontal roller installs, and she’s the crew member we assign to jobs in West Park’s older neighborhoods where the original windows are single-pane aluminum and the frames have settled in ways that require patience more than force.

Keisha grew up in the Washington Park neighborhood, and she’ll tell you which houses on her block still have the original jalousie windows from the 1970s. She’s made it a personal project to understand how impact-rated glazing performs differently in West Park’s exposure zone compared to properties closer to the Intracoastal. Her detail: she takes photos of every old window she removes, not for our record - for hers. She has a folder on her phone labeled “what we fixed,” and it’s up to 340 images.
